"Economic indicators used by Canada and other
countries continue to generate false readings
about our supposed "prosperity". The continued
"credibility gap" between these indicators
and actual economic performance is profound.
Yet the mass-media and government continue
to spread mis-leading information concerning
signs of "growth", as the Planet continues to flirt with a path
toward an Environmentally precipitated "Holocaust".
We have condemned a growing population of Canadians
and other peoples internationally, to poverty, including
atrocious homelessness in Canada, and shantytowns abroad;
the senseless destruction of the environment, the incidence of
diseases, and of overall social despair originating from
a continued reliance upon these indicators.
Cosmopolites recognize that we have a social
ethical and moral obligation to protect our
Planet Earth, our nation, and each other as
human beings, from such avoidable catastrophic outcomes.
Indeed, our aspiration as human beings for a high
quality-of-survival as a whole, is dependent upon
embracing our social ethical and moral obligations."
-- On the Canadian and International Economy
"The political leadership of the federal
Tory party under Sir John A. Macdonald, championed Canadian
Confederation in 1867. As the current political leadership
of the contemporary Progressive Conservative Party contemplates
a "Unite with the Right", Cosmopolites will continue to
defend the values supported by Sir. John A. Macdonald,
in the pursuit of what Jean Talon, the first Intendant
of New France referred to as 'Canada as a Great and Powerful
State'.
For us, 'power' is not in the pursuit of materialistic
ambition that drives wars, but is, instead, in fostering
a synergistic and nurturing cross-cultural society. To
facilitate such a society, we support governance based
upon commitments to timeless social ethics."
-- On political efforts to "Unite the Right". |

The Canadian economic system is repressively
imprisoning the human condition, into 'wage
slavery', and accompanying "market forces".
The "market forces" have been divested from
taking consideration of social and environmental costs.
Cosmopolites believe that the Canadian
economic system should service the pursuit
of a high quality of human survival, for "all Canadians".
-- On Economic Policy and Social Justice
"As Cosmopolites, we are Canadians who
seek to defend, and also seek to operate consistent
with our values, and the overall
sovereignty of Canada as a prospective progressive
model society for social justice, cross-cultural
community environmental protections and peace;
in an international community of nations."

"The Liberal Party of Canada has taken Canada
from the no. 1 ranking in the United Nations
Quality-of-Life index, into a precipitous decline.
Federal Liberals have presided over the decline of Canada's valued
social programmes, the universal public healthcare system, the environment,
the social fabric of Canadian cities, public health, and overall Canadian
sovereignty in the ability of government to support the quality-of-living
of Canadians.
Our Liberal friends vaunt the selling of our birthright
as Canadians. Our birthright, had been
successfully defended by previous Canadian governments.
Canadians can expect a worsening of quality-of-living in
Canada, as long as Canada is left under the continued
auspices of prevailing apparent negligent Liberal mis-direction
of social, environmental, and economic policy.
Cosmopolites are inspired by the vision of what former
Prime Minister John Difenbaker referred to as
a 'New National Policy'. Cosmopolite specifically
supports a progressive 'National Green Industrial Plan'.
This 'National Green Industrial Plan' envisions rescuing
the decline of our great cities, specifically, and our nation in
general; from social, environmental, and economic
decline, due to the very forces which have caused profound
socio-economic and other despair in America.
We support an approach to public policy in which an emphasis
on social justice, and the quality-of-living of Canadians,
must always be axiomatic; based upon an inviolable
spiritual covenant with Canadians.
Cosmopolites recognize that defending the sovereignty of
Canada as a strong and participatory democracy,
is vitally required, in order to support social justice,
in affirmation of the quality-of-living of Canadians.
We invite all Canadians to support our socially
progressive Cause in defence of the Canadian Dream."

"The so-called nationalists, in Québec present
their agenda for a separate Quebec based not
substantively upon verifiable facts, but
instead upon mythology. Their political agenda
does not serve the interests of "nationhood" in
Quebec, but instead serves a racialist elite.
These so-called 'nationalists' are really
just the extremists of the cadre of 'provincialists',
(that have tried to undermine Canada since
Confederation in 1867), and who in their apparent
provincialism, resort to the politics of divide and rule.
Indeed, descendants of French migrants who settled
this great Land were among to first to refer to
themselves as 'Canadians'. With our aboriginal
compatriots and other migrants, we came together
as a new Canadian nationality. We will not sell our
birthright and our ancestry as Canadians, based on the
revisionist history of Québec by my separatists friends.
The French identity in Canada extended itself
from sea to sea, as Canada, (well beyond the
present-day 'Province of Québec'), and was never
circumscribed under a "Quebec Nationality".
It is well-corroborated in political historical annals,
that notions of a "Quebec Nationality" were
contrived by the racialist motivations of an elite.
This so-called "Quebec Nationality" is based upon
denying our essential Canadian identity.
Ah oui... Canada is our nation, Quebec is a
province of that nation, as other provinces.
As champions for that nation, we are not "Quebec
sovereigntists" but instead 'Canadian sovereigntists'.
However, Quebec is special to the extent that it is
is the place of the genesis of the Canadian nation.
We as Cosmopolites seek to defend the French identity
in Canada in equal esteem with other cultural heritages
in the nation-building of a cosmopolitan society."

"A democracy must be measured, on its provision
of rights and opportunities to affirm the quality-of-life
of all its citizens in an equitable manner, without exception.
On its championing of the human rights of Canadians of all
social cultural backgrounds, we affirm our conviction
in the affirmation of Canada as a cosmopolitan democracy.
We will not be swayed by the instilling of a climate of
fear, that attempts to undermine a commitment to
fundamental social ethical convictions of a "Just Society".
The Canadian Constitution, inclusive of the Canadian
Charter of Rights and Freedoms provides important starting
points for even further enhancement of our human rights, in
a manner that can actively support the affirmation of
the quality-of-living of all Canadians. The timeless moral
commitments, to the general principles of social ethics, that are
recognized by the Canadian Constitution are not for sale,
as a mean to attract commercial development."
-- On the Canadian Constitution and Democracy
"Canadian leadership in international affairs,
as noted by former Prime Minister Brian
Mulroney, has significantly declined.
Cosmopolites support a revitalization of the leadership
for Canada in international affairs, that was inspired
by former Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson,
who had won a Nobel Peace Prize. Cosmopolitan
also recognize that Canada can provide such
leadership as it had done in the past, by striving
to support the fruition of a model progressive
society -- the attainment of which has been undermined by the
apparent negligence by our federal Liberal friends.
From international poverty, to international conflicts
including on-going regional wars, Canada can best provide vital and
timely independent leadership, as a fully sovereign nation."

"The power is within us as human beings, to deal
with Canadian and world poverty, and with critical
environmental problems. We can express this
power by embracing the eternal light of being,
over the forces of senseless exploitation and mammon"
-- On redressing Canadian and global issues
concerning poverty and the environmental protection.
"Having "material-financial wealth", in an essentially destroyed
environment, that undermines both personal and public
health, is a condition of abject poverty.
A Cosmopolitan government, would support the
protection and advancement of health, that is linked
to the pursuit of a high quality-of-survival for all
Canadians, fully inclusive of recent immigrants and
aboriginal peoples across Canada.
Canada can commit itself to a truly progressive model
to support the quality-of-living for all human beings,
as a fundamental spiritual covenant of government.
We believe that with the political will, this target is fully
achievable. Indeed, the pursuit of a high quality-of-survival,
for all citizen-participants of society , should be the axiom
of all economic public policies in an enlightened democracy."
