Leadership with a Socially Progressive National Vision of Canada

Leader (Interim)

Raymond Samučls has been nominated as the provisional interim leader until the scheduled national Leadership Convention of the Cosmopolitan Party of Canada in Montréal, March 2004.

We invite the nominaton of candidates for 'Party Leader'. 'Deputy Leader' and diverse other 'public service' facilitator responsibilities in support of our 'grassroots' national social cause.

Raymond Samučls II

Political Background:

Our interim leader has been actively involved in Canadian politics since the mid 1980's. He was a campaign organizer for the federal Liberals led by former Prime Minister John Turner in the 1988 federal election. Raymond Samučls also had been involved in the Progressive Conservative Party in the mid-1980's, the late 1990's, and into 2003.

He has actively participated in human rights, social justice, and environmental protection not-for-profit initiatives.

Raymond Samučls II was appointed, for example, to Environmental Advisory Committees by municipal governments in Eastern Ontario for two consecutive terms. His responsibilities included being a chairperson for this Advisory Committee.

Our interim leader has also participated with a 'Distinguished Service' accreditation, in diverse "ethnocultural" organizations which include organizations of Jewish, South Asian, Francophone, Italian, West Indian, Turkish. Latin American, and other Canadian socio-cultural backgrounds.

Professional Background:

Our interim leader's professional background in law includes teaching at the college/university-level. He has worked for the Government of Canada in Québec. He has also worked for the Government of Canada in Executive Labour-Management Relations areas

Raymond Samučls also has an extensive background in charitable work and related social activism. He is also the author/editor of diverse books, which are associated with his active participation which charitable community-related initiatives. Raymond Samučls II is the co-author with Horace Carby of the book entitled 'Quantuum Economics: Wage Slavery or the Quality-of-Life? Choices in "the New Economy", ISBN: 1894839609, 2003. He is also the author/editor of the books entitled, 'Constitutionalizing Universal Public Healthcare in Canada', ISBN: 1894839153, 2003; 'National Identity in Canada and Cosmopolitan Community' (Revised Edition), ISBN: 1894934121, 2003; 'Toward a Native-Canadian Equal Rights Amendment', ISBN: 1894934040, 2003; Prime Ministers of Canada: Selected Speeches 1867-2002, Profiles, Bibliography, with Editorial Commentary', ISBN: 1894839196, c. 2002, 2003.

Educational Background:

B.A. Honours degree, University of Toronto in International Relations (Trinity College) and Labour-Management Relations toward interdisciplinary M.A. studies and Ph.D. studies in Political Science, Multiculturalism and Constitutional Law. Raymond Samučls was also an associate member of the Canadian Bar Association. He is also affiliated to a Law Society. He was an Ontario Scholar. He has won diverse academic awards. This includes Canadian Geography and Political Science Related Academic Awards. Raymond Samučls II also has a corresponding multilingual French, Spanish, and German linguistic background.
